At Cottonwood Fly Fishing, our mission is to teach conservation and foster an appreciation for Wyoming’s native trout in each of our guests. We do this by offering them an opportunity to connect with nature and explore the natural habitats of these wild trout.
Our motto is "Fight fish, not crowds." Which is why we offer an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life by providing fishing adventures on secluded waters nestled in Wyoming's beautiful backcountry and ranches.
We aim to share our passions with our guests through interactive instruction, sharing local knowledge, and providing them with all the necessary equipment and services for their success. For us, helping someone catch a fish is just as fulfilling as catching one ourselves.
Our family has deep roots in this area and has been enchanted by Wyoming for generations. We're dedicated to sharing this breathtaking place with others and helping them discover the thrill of fly fishing.
This Cottonwood Ranch has been in our family since 1912, and is what comes to our minds when we think of home. For over 100 years, we've used the ranch to raise cattle, horses, and our families.

For the past 50 years, we have been in the outfitting business. People from all over the world have come to our little corner of Wyoming to experience the world class Elk and Mule Deer hunting.
We've come to love hosting and guiding people around the area which is why we built a small cabin and started guiding fly fishers.
Wyoming fly fishing is some of the best in the world, and we strive to share these magical experiences by providing actual Wyoming fly fishing guides who have intimate knowledge of the area.

Summer offers an ideal experience for avid dry fly fishermen as the cutthroat target in on large mayfly hatches, big bodied hoppers, and even the occasional mouse.
